GRAND RAPIDS – Western Michigan Christian wasted no time to advance to the Division 4 district girls soccer finals on Tuesday night.

Nora Pollock gave the top-ranked Warriors a 1-0 lead just two minutes into the game as WMC defeated Wyoming Potter’s House, 8-0.

Pollock continued to dominate as she tallied a hat trick before halftime, leading the Warriors to a 5-0 edge by the break.

“We had some really good moments where we build through possession and created some really nice team goals,” said WMC coach Jared McFarland. “For not playing for a week, we had some rust and consistency to work through, but I’m really proud of how the girls took care of business tonight.”

The Warriors were led by three other players in the win as Nadia Burr and Emersyn Paling scored two goals apiece. Brooklyn Watts also tallied a goal.

Elaina Clapp posted the shutout in goal, as WMC outshot Potter’s House 20-1.

The win advances WMC to the Division 4 district finals on Friday when it faces host NorthPointe Christian at 6 p.m. NorthPointe defeated North Muskegon in the other semifinal game.
