FRANKFORT – The Holton Red Devils put it all together on Monday and captured the Division 4 regional softball title.
 
The Red Devils defeated Bellaire 7-2 in the regional semifinal and blanked Frankfort 13-0 in the regional title game thanks to a no-hitter by senior Ryann Robins.
 
The games were originally scheduled for Saturday, but rain pushed the games to Monday afternoon.
 
In the regional title game, Robins was stellar on the mound with 11 strikeouts and three walks in five innings of work.
 
Kenzie Greene put on a show at the plate with a pair of home runs. Sydney McCormick smacked a three-run homer and finished with four RBI. Abbie Fowler added a home run, a triple, a single and two RBI. Robins belted a home run and had a single. Grace Thompson knocked in one run with a solo home run. She finished with three hits.
 
Aubrey Goyings joined in on the fun with a home run and a double. Chloe McKee had a pair of hits.
 
In the opener against Bellaire, Greene struck out 14 and allowed just four hits.
 
Fowler and Greene each had a pair of hits for the Red Devils. Emma Monette knocked in two runs.
 
It’s a quick turnaround for Holton (27-12) which faces state-ranked Beal City (31-10) at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the state quarterfinals. That game will be played at Central Michigan University.
