Mona Shores’ graduate Aaron Piasecki had a banner season at Kellogg Community College this spring.
Piasecki was recently named a first-team All American in the National Junior College Athletic Association as the member of the Bruins’ baseball team.
Piasecki finished the 2024 campaign with a .481 batting average with 87 hits, 26 doubles, two triples and six home runs. He drove in 65 runs and had 24 stolen bases.
The 5-10, 170-pound infielder also had a strong season on defense for the Bruins, which finished 44-12.
During the 2023 summer season, Piasecki was a standout for the Muskegon Clippers. He finished with a .344 batting average with 43
hits in 125 at-bats.
“Aaron is a phenomenal kid,” said Clippers’ manager Logan Fleener. “He plays incredibly hard and he means a lot to this place and to me. He is a kid that wants to be in the dirt and he wants to play fast.
“His summer last year to this unit, the guys absolutely loved him and there isn’t a guy and there is nobody in the world that you would rather root for more,” Fleener said. “He is just a good kid.”
Next up for Piasecki is Central Michigan University now that he’s completed his junior college career.
