KENT CITY – The Kent City boys soccer team pushed their win streak to six with a 5-0 win against Grant in CSAA-Blue play on Wednesday.

The Eagles have outscored their opponents 29-2 during their steak.

“This was a big win for us since Grant has found a way to upset us the last three years,” said Kent City coach Pedro Sanchez. “This group was determined to not let that happen and they did it in a big way.”

David Copado-Perez led the scoring with a pair of goals. Aaron Vanderwest, Sergio Quintero and Jose Pozas-Servin each scored a goal.

Goalkeeper Jesus Pozas-Servin posted his fourth shutout of the season.

“I’m really happy with the result and to be in the driver’s seat for our CSAA conference title goal,” said Sanchez. “Props to these kids who are working really hard this season. It’s a special group.”

Kent City (6-1) will visit Ravenna on Thursday, September 5.

Grant (1-3-1) hosts Lakeview on Wednesday.
