SPRING LAKE – The Spring Lake boys soccer team blanked Mona Shores 1-0 in the season opener on Friday.
“The Lakers have a quality team and they played a great game,” said Mona Shores coach William Moulatsiotis.
The Sailors’ goalkeeper Parker Rose went out with a concussion just six minutes into the game and JV keeper Devon Meyers took over for the remainder of the match.
Spring Lake (1-0) will be at Zeeland West on Wednesday.
Mona Shores (0-1) will travel to Grandville on Tuesday.
