MUSKEGON – The Montague boys soccer team pushed their win streak to nine as they edged out Muskegon Catholic Central, 1-0, on Wednesday evening.
The game was scoreless at halftime and the Crusaders controlled the ball for the first 20 minutes of the half. Sandy Bingham gave the Crusaders an opportunity as he fired a shot from 20 yards that hit the crossbar.
The Wildcats opened the second half and dominated possession, but didn’t break the stalemate until 14 minutes left to play.
Montague (12-2) will be at home on Monday for a West Michigan Conference game with Oakridge.
Muskegon Catholic Central (3-7-1) will host Wyoming Lee for Alliance League action on Tuesday.
