ZEELAND – The Spring Lake volleyball team dropped an OK Conference-Black match against Zeeland East on Thursday, 11-25, 14-25, 25-21 and 21-25.
The Lakers started slow, but picked up the pace in later sets. However, it wouldn’t be enough.
Brooke St. George had eight kills and made eight digs. Katherine Penning had six kills and three blocks, while Brianna Kirby added four kills and three blocks. Lauren Nicles scored three aces and had 15 digs.
Peyton Hein made 22 assists on offense and Selah Kobylak had eight digs defensively.
Spring Lake (2-10, 0-2) will be at home on Tuesday for conference play against Holland.
