The Grand Haven boys’ basketball team put four players in double figures and used a strong second half to take down Grandville 70-66 in an OK-Red matchup on Tuesday. 

Will Plummer was the glue that held the Bucs together as he scored seven of the team’s 11 first-quarter points and shot 7-of-7 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter. He led Grand Haven with 22 points. 

Grand Haven had to use a second-half rally to pull out the win. The Bucs trailed Grandville 16-11 after the first quarter and 34-29 at the half. Amani Frierson was the hot hand Grand Haven needed in the second quarter as he scored 10 of his 12 points going into the break.

Alex Dixon scored nine points in the third to finish with 13 points. The Bucs also used six third-quarter points from Will Korenstra, who finished with 14 points. 

Grand Haven scored 20 points in the third quarter to take a 49-47 lead into the fourth quarter. 

The Bucs travel to Holland West Ottawa on Friday for another OK-Red matchup.
