GRAND RAPIDS – The Kent City girls’ basketball team earned a close 39-36 victory over Kenowa Hills on Saturday.
The Eagles battled to the last quarter and last-second free throws from Hailey Kamphuis sealed the win.
Kenzy Freeland led the way with 11 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists, while Kamphuis had 11 points, three rebounds and two assists. Alyssa Miller scored seven points.
Kent City (10-3, 5-0) travels to Reed City on Monday.
