Ludington posts lopsided victory over Benzie Central on Senior Night

 

LUDINGTON – The Ludington girls basketball team celebrated Senior Night with a huge 70-20 non-conference win Thursday night over Benzie Central at Hawley Gymnasium.

 

As far as the competitive nature of the game, it was over at halftime with the Orioles leading, 39-8.

 

The Orioles banged home six 3-pointers on the night, three of them by Madelyn Kenyon.

 

Kenyon ended the night with 18 points to lead the Orioles, while Peyton Welch tossed in 12 and Elianna Jeruzal knocked down 11.

 

Ludington carries a 16-5 regular-season record and a five-game winning streak into Monday night’s MHSAA Division 2 district tournament against Fremont, a fellow member of the West Michigan Conference Lakes Division, in Reed City at 7 p.m.
