It was the third highest point total recorded by a Spartans girls’ team in program history.
First on the list is the 80 points the Spartans scored in the districts back in 1979.
“We really had to refocus defensively as this year went along, and reframe ourselves,” Spartans coach Brian Beebe said. “We’ve done a really good job of managing turnovers this year. That’s the No. 1 thing I think we’ve really done well, and I thought we really did that well tonight.”
Central pretty much decided the issue with a 29-9 first quarter, and never looked back. It was 53-14 at the half.
Senior point guard Mallory Miller fired in a game-high 18 points for the Spartans, and Jaycee Myer added 13 counters.
Sarissa Conkle led the Panthers with nine points and Alyssa Wishman chipped in with eight.
The Spartans improved their record to 9-14 and will take on Shelby (18-4).
Hesperia finished 0-20.
