SPRING LAKE – The Spring Lake girls’ lacrosse team opened the 2025 season in grand style with a 17-4 victory over the Grand Haven Buccaneers.
Stafford Sieracki and Micah Gawronski led the Lakers with four goals each. Aubrey Llewellyn added three and Sophia Clark had two.
Grace Humphrey, Mallory Martinez, Riley Johnson and Charlie Van Harken each added a goal.
The goals by Johnson, Gawronski, Martinez and Van Harken were the first varsity goals by each player.
On defense, the Lakers were led by two-way mid-fielder Claire Arnold and by defenders Emily Riemersma, Ellie Wrona and Becca Blausey. Elena Robinson was strong in net allowing just two goals.
Spring Lake travels to Caledonia on Friday for its next match.
