Gonzalez scores goal late in game as Grant nips Shelby in non-league soccer match

SHELBY – Juliet Gonzalez scored the game’s only goal with less than four minutes remaining and lifted the Grant Tigers to a 1-0 soccer victory over the host Shelby Tigers on Thursday.

Grant made the most of their shots as Shelby outshot them, 10-5.

Grant (2-2) opens CSAA-Blue play at home against Tri County on Wednesday.

Shelby (0-2) hosts Lakeview on Friday.
