Muskegon Lumberjack defenseman Michael Brodzinski was named the CCM Defenseman of the Week in the United States Hockey League.
It’s the second time Brodzinski has won the award. The first time was the week ending Nov. 19.
Last week, the native of Blaine, Minn. had five points in three road games, including two goals and three assists.
His goals were both scored on the power play in a 6-3 victory over Tri-City.
Brodzinski is commited to the University of Minnesota.
“I feel pretty good and honored to have received the award for this week as it came down as a big
surprise to me when I found out,” said Brodzinski. “I just tried my best to help the team as much as
possible over the weekend, and hopefully we can regroup for the nice long stretch of home games coming up and make a deep push for the Clark Cup Championship.”
This season, Brodzinski leads all USHL defenseman with 14 goals.
