SPRING LAKE – The highly ranked Spring Lake boys swimming team won 10 of 12 events in a 112-71 victory over Ludington on Thursday.
“Tonight was a great chance to see the team swim many off-events and be successful,” said Spring Lake coach Mick Homan, whose team is ranked No. 4 in Division 3. “The team once again showed its strong team depth.”
Alex Strauss was a double-winner with first-place finishes in the 200IM (2:08.93) and 500 free (5:19.84). Graham Porter took first place in the 200 free (1:56.52) and Noah Fletcher won the 50 free (22.36). Ryan Fisher took first place in the 100 free (52.24), while Tyler Nutt won the 100 back (59.25). Fisher Halsey came on top in the 100 breast (1:06.87).
Tyler Nutt, Fisher Halsey, Noah Fletcher and Ryan Fisher came finished first in the 200-medley relay (1:45.10). Ryan Fisher, Patrick Goran, Leo Zanon and Alex Strauss took the top spot in the 200 free relay (1:35.40).
The 400-free relay team of Wesley Mazurek, Arthur Fletcher, Noah Fletcher and Ryan Fisher won with 3:48.61.
Ben Goran finished runner-up with a score of 176.50 in diving.
Spring Lake hosts No. 6-ranked Hamilton on Tuesday.
