Indians 7, Tigers 5 – Cleveland Indians’ outfielder Michael Brantley hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning to lead the Indians over the Tigers on Thursday night.
Nick Castellanos doubled and knocked in a run for Detroit, while Ian Kinsler, Andrew Romine and Anthony Gose each had an RBI.
Detroit starting pitcher Alfredo Simon took a no decision, allowing five runs on nine hits in 6 2/3 innings.
Blaine Hardy took the loss for the Tigers after giving up Brantley’s two-run home run in the eighth inning.
The Tigers will look to even the series and snap their two-game losing skid with a victory over the Indians on Friday night.
