Mona Shores tennis falls to Hudsonville

Mona Shores faced a tough Hudsonville squad in its tennis match on Thursday and fell 8-0.

The Sailors’ Claire DeYoung fell 6-2, 6-0 to Amanda Moore at No. 1 singles. Sophie Gosssett lost 6-1, 6-0 to Taylor LaBarge in No. 2 singles. At No. 3 singels, Madison Mronek fell to Ivana Nojic 6-0, 6-0 and Bella Purosky succumbed to Erin LaBarge 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.

In No. 1 doubles for Mona Shores, Emily Klemp and Erika Vanderlaan lost 6-4, 6-3 to Morgan Brodien and Maddie Brouwer. At No. 2 doubles, Bri Holtrab and Kay Chandonnet lost 6-4, 6-4 to Hudsonville’s Elizabeth Jones and McKenna Lee. Caroline Schillaci and Alyssa Pyman fell 6-1, 6-2 to Olivia Hoppen and Dawson Bishop at No. 3 singles. Maddie Myhre and Marissa Duff lost 6-3, 6-0 in No. 4 doubles to Ali Harberling and Janelle Bellamy.
