Tigers 2, White Sox 1 – The last two times the Tigers started 9-1 were 1968 and 1984, and you know what happened those years.

Jose Iglesias knocked in the game-winning run with a RBI single in the ninth inning.

Dave Price pitched his third straight stellar game. He pitched eight innings, giving up one run, four hits, while striking nine.

Joakim Soria picked up his first victory of the season in relief.
