Angels 11, Tigers 9– C.J. Cron’s walk-off homer in the ninth inning led the Los Angles Angels over the Tigers on Tuesday night.
The Tigers, who were down 9-2 after the fourth inning, score seven unanswered runs to tie the game 9-9 in the eighth inning.
The Angels were led by Cron with two home runs and five RBIs while Mike Trout chipped in with a homer and three RBIs.
Former Tiger Jefrey Marte added a double, home run and two RBIs for Los Angeles.
The Tigers were paced in a losing effort by Ian Kinsler with his first grandslam home run of his carrer.
J.D. Martinez, Miguel Cabrera, Victor Martinez and Justin Upton each had home runs for Detroit.
Detroit’s starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez was rocked, allowing six runs on eight hits in three innings.
The Tigers are now 24-27 on the season, good for fourth place in the American League Central Division behind the Kansas City Royals.
Detroit will look to avoid being swept by the Angels with a win on Wednesday night.
