The Mona Shores softball team swept a non-league doubleheader from Whitehall on Friday, 12-5 and 16-9.

Madison Van Etten picked up the win in Game 1, striking out seven. Taylor Dew led the offense with four hits and five RBIs, including a solo home run. Zoie Willeke and Ryleigh Wehler each added two hits while Willeke had two RBIs.

In Game 2, pitcher Lauryn Patterson picked up the win while striking out five. Grace Hall led the offense with three hits and three RBIs while Shelby Savacool added four hits. Dew finished with two hits, including a two-run home run, while Wehler also added two hits.

The Sailors are now 9-9 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
