Kenzie Bowers scored 28 points to lead the Kent City girls basketball team to a 73-29 victory over Holton in a CSAA Silver Division contest on Friday night.

Kent City led 25-8 after the first quarter, 46-16 at the half, and 59-27 after the third quarter.

Jenna Harrison added 20 points for the Eagles, while Audrey Dreyer had nine points. Holton was led by Kaylie Piper with nine points.

MORLEY STANWOOD 51, HESPERIA 31 – Hesperia kept things close in the first half, and only trailed by five at halftime, but gave up too many second-chance points in the second half. Alyssa Miller led Hesperia (1-1, 0-1) with nine points, 11 rebounds and four steals, while Ally Bayle had five points and nine rebounds. Makenna Swisher and Emily Bayle each scored six points for the Panthers.

FREMONT 54, CHIPPEWA HILLS 30 – After leading 17-11 at halftime, the Packers took control with a 21-5 edge in the third quarter, led by Bre Harris with nine points. Harris had 10 steals and three assists in the game while Anna Patenge had 11 points and 10 rebounds. Also standing out for Fremont were Natalie Jamieson with nine points and Calia Miller with five steals. The Packers are now 2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
