The Muskegon Catholic volleyball team advanced to the Division 4 regional finals after knocking out Pentwater in four sets on Tuesday.

The Crusaders won by scores of 25-22, 18-25, 25-23 and 25-22 in the regional semifinal round.

Erin Lavigne paced MCC with nine kills, while Emily Olsen added five aces and Amelia Heminger chipped in with 34 assists.

MCC was led defensively by Maria Sanocki with 24 digs while Calvinnae Simmons contributed with three blocks.

The Crusaders, who are now 22-17 on the season, will face Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart at Bear Lake High School on Thursday in the regional title game.
