Wrestling roundup: Muskegon and Reeths-Puffer have rough nights on the mat

The Muskegon wrestling team fell in both of its matches on Wednesday, losing to Ottawa Hills 36-33 and Northview 60-24.
Jamarion Herron (285), Gabe Jaimes (215) and Dion Nela (112) led the Big Red wrestlers by going 2-0 while Nate Crump (145) and Secarrean Moore (135) each went 1-1.
Reeths-Puffer has rough night at Cedar Springs
The Reeths-Puffer wrestling tam fell to Lowell 51-9 and Cedar Springs 38-32 on Wednesday night.
Hunter McCall (215) was the lone wrestler who went undeated for the Rockets.
Grand Haven wins league match over Caledonia
The Grand Haven wrestling team picked up a 39-33 win over Caledonia in O-K Red Conference play.
Riley Rhone (112), Hefzur Rahman (119), Cody Miller (125), Kirk Marsman (130), Zach Boersen (135), Alex Spangler (145), Trevor Rademaker (152) and Luke Rokus (160) each won their match for the Buccaneers.
Whitehall cruises past Shelby in a WMC match
The Whitehall wrestling squad cruised to a 67-9 win over Shelby in West Michigan Conference play.
Winning their matches for the Vikings were Aidan Weiler (103), Matthew Goodrich (112), Sam Baustert (119), Nicholas Blanchard (130), Max Brown (135), Braydn VanPatten (140), Chris Dowdell (145), Ira Jenkins (160), Trenton Blanchard (171), Kaleb Venema (189), Allen Powers (215) and Jarrean Sargeant (285).
Will Kidder (125) and Nick Felt (152) each won their match for the Tigers.

    Perhaps the best HS Wrestling team in the county are the Whitehall Vikings. Looking for them to go further than last year when they got to the semis in D3. The Vikings were #! in the Granville Tournament last weekend beating #5 in D2 and #2 in D4. 4-0 on the day vs several larger schools and traditionally strong teams.
    How about a little coverage.
