Newaygo used its first-half momentum to top Morley-Stanwood 18-12 on Friday night.
The Lions scored all 18 of their points in the first half while Morley-Stanwood scored all of its points in the fourth quarter.
Max Harrington led Newaygo with 102 yards rushing on 16 attempts, including a touchdown run.
Weston Butler was 4-of-8 passing for 79 yards and capped off a Newaygo scoring drive on a touchdown run. Conor Bradley kicked a field goal to account for Newaygo’s other points.
Brandon Foster led Newaygo with 14 tackles while Bradley had nine and Preston Cross had seven.
