Fruitport Calvary jumped out to a 16-7 lead after one quarter and went on to a 39-23 win over visiting Byron Center Zion Christian on Tuesday.

The victory gives Calvary the outright Alliance League title.

“This is the second conference championship in school history,” Calvary coach Brad Richards said. “The first one was in 2007 with Coach Bill Mann.

FCC led 16-7 after one quarter and 22-12 at halftime.

Hayley Mohr led the Eagles with 11 points and Allyson Richards added 10 points and nine rebounds.

Taylor Richards grabbed 20 rebounds and had five assists.
