MANISTEE NEEDS OVERTIME TO BEAT MASON COUNTY CENTRAL IN CLASS B GIRLS DISTRICT OPENER

Mason County Central rallied in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime before falling to Manistee 50-48 in a Class B district game on Monday night.

The win sends Manistee into Wednesday’s semifinals where they it will face Benzie Central.

The Spartans trailed 35-30 entering the final quarter, but rallied to send the game into overtime by outscoring Manistee 15-10 in the final quarter.

Manistee outscored MCC 5-3 in overtime.

Mason County Central was led by Madison Geer’s 14 points and 10 rebounds and Holly Olenchak’s 10 points.
