The Oakridge Eagles jumped out to a 20-point halftime lead and carried that momentum to a 65-49 boys basketball victory over the Ravenna Bulldogs on Tuesday night.

Francis Decker led the way for Oakridge with 15 points. Junior guard Austin Wright added 14.

Jacob Seid led Ravenna with 14 points and six rebounds. Alex White added 12 points.

Oakridge led 37-17 at the half.

“Oakridge came out on fire tonight right from the beginning tip,” Ravenna coach Mark VanderWal said. “We called a couple of timeouts in the first quarter to make some adjustments, but could not find one that worked, we just had to wait out the storm.

“Once they cooled off a little, we played fairly even with them, but could not find enough offense to work down their first half lead against their tough defense,” said VanderWal.  “They really shut us down in the first half.”
