SPRING LAKE’S SECOND-HALF COMEBACK AGAINST WHITEHALL ADVANCES THE LAKERS TO CLASS B GIRLS DISTRICT TITLE GAME

Spring Lake overcame a halftime deficit to earn a 48-37 Class B district semifinal win over Whitehall on Wednesday night.

Spring Lake advances to Friday’s championship game where they will play Oakridge at 6 p.m. at Whitehall High School.

The Vikings led 26-22 at halftime, but Spring Lake outscored Whitehall 26-11 after halftime.

Kelsee Zuidema led the Lakers with 14 points and Jewel Wiersma added 13.

Jenna Pesch paced Whitehall with 15 points and Emily MacArthur added 13.
