The Western Michigan Christian Warriors saw their 10-game winning streak come to an abrupt halt on Friday night at the hands of River Valley foe Grand Rapids  Covenant Christian.

The visiting Chargers ruined WMC’s homecoming festivities with a 63-45 victory.

Covenant has handed the Warriors (11-4) two of their four losses this season.

The  Chargers’ balanced attack was led by Ben Noorman with 18 points and Jared Noorman with 14.

WMC struggled on the offensive end all night long. Junior post player Bernard Smith led the way with 16 points. Senior James Jackson had 11 points and Jacob Ray added eight.

Smith also pulled down 10 rebounds.
