Fremont Providence Christian overcame a slow start to earn a 57-52 Class D district semifinal win over Waypoint Academy on Wednesday night.

The Storm will advance to play Muskegon Catholic in Friday’s district title game at 7 p.m. at Fruitport Calvary.

Fremont Providence trailed 14-13 after one quarter, but rallied for 26-23 halftime lead.

The Storm trailed 41-38 entering the final quarter, but outscored Waypoint 19-11 in the fourth quarter.

Daniel Geeting led the Storm with 19 points and Josh Clapp added 11.

Malcom Volz scored 10 points for PC and Jared Tinkham added 10 points and five assists.

Darrion Green led Waypoint with 15 points and Quaze Bridges scored 13.
