NORTH MUSKEGON ADVANCES TO CLASS C DISTRICT SEMIFINALS WITH WIN OVER HOLLAND BLACK RIVER

North Muskegon used a big second quarter to secure a 65-43 Class C district win over Holland Black River on Monday night.

The Norse advance to play Muskegon Heights Academy on Wednesday night in the semifinals at 5:30 p.m. at Fennville High School.

North Muskegon led 13-11 after one quarter and increased the lead to 34-18 at halftime on the strength of a 21-7 run in the second quarter.

Sam Powell led the Norse with 14 points and Adam Edick added 11.

Will Byl and Tony Gordon scored 10 each and Zach Rummery had seven assists.
