Montague girls soccer coach Ian Kennedy is hoping his young roster can make drastic improvements on last season.

“More than half the team is playing high school soccer for the first time,” Kennedy said. “The goal is to improve ball skill and fitness.”

The Wildcats, who finished 1-14 last season, are led by four-year player Nicole Jager, a senior forward, along with three-year players Karleigh Davis, Andie Cook and Jane Dandron. Davis is a senior while Cook and Dandron are juniors.

Kennedy expects Hart, Oakridge and Whitehall to occupy the top spots in the West Michigan Conference.
