The Fruitport Trojans scored eight runs in the third inning and defeated the Whitehall Vikings 10-3 on Thursday.

The uprising was sparked by an RBI triple by Flores

Fruitport was led by Andrew Slocum with three hits, including a triple and one RBI and Kolin Lakatos with two hits, one a double, and one RBI. Amilio Flores and Brandon Lee had two hits each. Flores had a triple and knocked in three runs and Lee had a double and one RBI.

Ray Copley led Whitehall with a single, a double and an RBI. Jacob Kring also had an RBI for the Vikings.

Tyler Fehler allowed three runs and seven hits in seven innings on the mound for Fruitport. He had four strikeouts and one walk.
