Morgan Kellis scored two goals on Wednesday night and led the Whitehall Vikings to a 3-0 girls soccer victory over North Muskegon.

The Vikings led 2-0 at the half.

Kellis scored one goal off a free kick and another off an assist from Miranda Jacobs. Whitehall’s other goal was scored by Jordan Loudermilk with an assist from Samantha Huebler. Kellis’ first goal came in the game’s first minute, which set a positive tone for the Vikings.

Sophia Stevens posted the shutout in net with nine saves.

“I have to give North Muskegon credit, they had spurts that put us on our heels, but in the end, our girls were up to the task,” Whitehall coach Dan Nichols said.

“We will continue to get better,”  Nichols said. “From now on the teams in our conference will see Whitehall on the schedule and know they have a fight on their hands. If we can take the play on the field from tonight into districts we will be fine.”
