The Muskegon Big Reds posted 18-1 and 13-10 softball victories over the Western Michigan Christian Warriors on Thursday.

Lorelle Hallenbeck had a single in the opener for WMC. She pitched three innings, allowed seven hits, struck out seven, allowed two walks and allowed one earned run.
In the nightcap, WMC’s Anna Sweetman had two doubles and Emilee Pell had two hits.

“I was proud of how the girls came back in the second game,” said WMC coach Jeff Nestell. “It was our best game of the year so far in terms of run differential.  We got off to a great start, but then our errors let Muskegon back into the game.”
