Orchard View allows one hit in doubleheader sweep of Western Michigan Christian

The Orchard View Cardinals allowed one hit in sweeping Western Michigan Christian 10-0 and 12-0 in a nonleague softball doubleheader.

Bree Weck pitched five innings in the opener. She allowed no hits, three walks and struck out 11. Weck had a triple and a double to lead the Cardinals. She also scored two runs and knocked in two run. Katelynn Rojas had one hit and scored two runs for OV.

Anna Sweetman allowed five hits, three earned runs and three walks on the mound for WMC. She had nine strikeouts.

In the nightcap, Emily Smith allowed one hit, two walks and struck out seven for OV. Weck had two hits to lead the Cardinals.

Lorelle Hallenbeck had the Warriors’ hit.
