Four Muskegon Lumberjacks were selected as the top leaders of their team and will serve as team captains this upcoming 2013-14 season.

Leading the co-captains are Cullen Hurley and Mason Jobst. Assistant captains are Matt Mendelson and Trevor Morbeck.

Hurley, an Eagan, Minn. native, enters his second season in Muskegon after tallying 12 goals and 13 assists in 66 games last year.

Jobst is from Speedway, Ind. and is approaching his third season in the Lumberjacks’ Black and Gold jerseys. Jobst accumulated eight goals and 26 assists in 96 career games played in Muskegon.

Assistant captain Mendelson enters his second season in Muskegon and had two goals and an assist in 17 games played this past season.

Morbeck hails from Jackson, Wisc. and is in his first season in Muskegon after playing the last four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League. In 220 games Morebeck had 29 goals and 51 assists.
