The high flying Muskegon Community College soccer team earned its fourth win of the season Saturday with a convincing 8-1 victory over Jackson Community College.

The Jayhawks grabbed a quick 2-0 lead in the first 11 minutes with goals from Hector Chavez and Kawika Chavez. They added three more tallies in the first half – on goals by Marcos Moul, Zachary Sutton and Daniel Lora – to take a 5-0 lead at the break.

Chris Saunders added a goal in the second half while Brandon Prim registered two goals on free kicks to wrap up the MCC scoring.

Michael Hower had two assists for the winners while Saunders, Jacob Kring, Aaron Dault and Anthony Dinesta each had single assists.

MCC improved to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
