Jayshonna Blackshire and Orchard View defense roll past Grant in 46-21 girls basketball

The Cardinals defense was stellar on Tuesday night as they defeated Grant 46-21 in a Lakes 8 conference girls basketball showdown.

Orchard View jumped out to a 21-12 lead at halftime and 36-15 lead after the third quarter.  The Cardinals’ defense did not allow more than eight points in a single quarter.

Jayshonna Blackshire led the Cardinals with 19 points, seven steals and 14 rebounds. Precious Anderson added seven points.

The Tigers were led by Alyssa Male, Samantha Slachter and Shay Woodland with four points each.
