The Spring Lake girls basketball team used a strong fourth quarter and Kelsee Zuidema’s double-double to earn a 36-29 win over Fruitport on Friday night in a Lakes 8 conference game.
The Lakers (3-5) held a 16-6 lead at halftime.
The Trojans came back in the third quarter to lead 22-21 after three quarters.
The Lakers then pulled away in the fourth quarter with 15-7 run to end the game.
Kelsee Zuidema’s 14 points and 12 rebounds lead the Lakers, while Reiko Johnson added 11 points.
Fruitport, which dropped to 6-1 on the season was led by Breanne Burns with 12 points, while Francesca Cerniglia added seven points.
