Reeths-Puffer’s boys basketball team continued its struggles on Tuesday night as they fell to Grand Rapids Union 63-40 in an OK Black Conference game.

Grand Rapids Union led 23-9 at the half and 47-26 after the third quarter where they scored a game high 24 points in the third.

The Rockets shot poorly in the first half making four of their 24 shots.

“We ran the offense well, got our shots but our shooting hurt us.” said coach Dave Ingles. “Our defense helped us in the first half, but the second half we tried to go up tempo but they are just more athletic than us, at least we put some points on the board.”

Deandre Oakes and Jalen Cooley each had 12 points to lead the way for the Rockets, who fell to 1-9 on the season and 0-5 in the OK Black Conference.
