Muskegon Community College’s bats went silent in their doubleheader loss to Lansing on Friday. The Jayhawks fell 6-1 in the opener and 11-1 in the nightcap scoring each run in the first innings.

Emily Peake put MCC on the board in the first inning with an RBI double that scored Alyson Behnke who reached on a single. Caten Teff was the lone Jayhawk with two hits.

In Game 2, Megan Jean drove in Peak in on an RBI RBI triple. Mary Guidice, Meghan Birr, Sarah Ferenz, and Teff each had doubles in the loss.

Lansing pitcher Alina Harrington shutdown MCC in both contests, striking out 12 in Game 1 while giving up five hits in Game 2.
