Did you notice the crowds in downtown Muskegon this weekend?

Hundreds of young, talented hockey players and their families have piled into town for the Muskegon Lumberjacks’ annual Tryout Camp, which runs through next Friday.

Fifteen players from last season, plus dozens of promising draft picks and other hopefuls are vying for an invitation to the team’s August training camp. A total of 30 players will be invited to that camp.

Most of the action at the L.C. Walker Arena is open to the public all week. Click here to view the schedule.

The Lumberjacks’ staff has been interviewing various players who hope to make the team. The following interview is with Ryker Killans, the team’s 7th round draft pick this summer. Check it out.
