Tigers 7, Twins 1 – The Tigers completed a three game sweep of the Twins Thursday evening,, outscoring Minnesota 22-1 throughout the series. They set a modern-day American League record by starting the season with 24 consecutive shutout innings.
J.D Martinez hit his second home run of the season and knocked in three runs.
Shane Greene picked up the victory in his first start as a Tiger, pitching eight innings and allowing one run on four hits while striking out five.
