The Fruitport soccer team picked up an 8-2 victory over Orchard View in a Lakes 8 game on Thursday night.
The Trojans outshot Orchard View by a 25-5 margin.
Noah Hendricks led the Trojans with three goals and one assist, while Cameron Brandow scored two goals and picked up an assist.
Eli Flores, Logan Fielding and Zack Shane also scored a goal for Fruitport who are now 8-1-1 on the season and 3-0 in league play.
Evan McMiller scored the game’s first goal to give the Cardinals their only lead of the night, Christian Kroening also found the back of the net for Orchard View.
“It was disappointing to give up an early goal,” said Fruitport Coach Greg Kobylak. “It was great to see our team continue fighting and playing hard while never letting the scoreboard influence our play.”
