Red Wings 5, Senators 3 –Detroit Red Wings offense woke up on Saturday as they defeated Ottawa in the second game of back-to-back games against the Senators.
Tomas Tatar, Gustav Nyquist and Danny DeKeyser each picked up a goal and an assist, while Niklas Kronwall had two assists.
Detroit’s goaltender Petr Mrazek picked up the victory, stopping 33-of-36 shots by the Senators.
Detroit is now 5-5-1 on the season, good for 11 points and a fifth place tie in the Atlantic Division.
The Red Wings will host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night.
