The Muskegon Community College men’s basketball team hosted Calvin College’s JV squad on Wednesday night and ran away with a 80-61 home opening win in front of 500 fans.lsj-fb-logo

The fast paced and athletic Jayhawks were led by Marcus Tumblin and Eddie Tornes. The two forwards carried MCC in each half with Tumblin scoring 14 of his game-high 21 points in the second half while Tornes scored all 16 of his points in the first half.

MCC jumped out to a 22-7 lead midway through the opening 20 minutes and never looked back.

Aaron Sydnor scored 10 points and Will Roberson Jr. chipped in seven points and six assists.

Calvin sophomore and Muskegon Catholic graduate Adam Callow scored eight points as the Knights were led by Matt Donley with 14.
