The Montague boys basketball team took advantage of a poor shooting night by Fremont in a 58-47 non-league win on Monday night.
The Wildcats, who improved to 4-2 on the season, jumped out to an 18-2 advantage to start the game and led 18-8 after one quarter.
Josh Weesies led the Wildcats with 17 points, while Jacob Buchberger added 14 and Abram Erickson chipped in with 12.
The Packers, who dropped to 1-6 on the year, was paced by Mason McDowell with 15 points.
