The Muskegon Catholic girls soccer team opened its season with a pair of victories this week.

The Crusaders defeated Montague 4-0 on Tuesday night and Holland Black River 5-1 on Wednesday.LSJ Logo incert

Against Montague, the Crusaders led 3-0 at halftime and cruised from there. Talia Tyler, Lillie Conroy, Adeline Bonnette and Lauren Doriot each scored for Muskegon Catholic.

MCC goalkeeper Isabel Bertolone stopped all three shots she faced.

Against Holland Black River, the Crusaders jumped out to a 5-1 halftime lead.

Muskegon Catholic was paced by Bonnette and Doriot with two goals each while Tyler had a single tally.

Bertolone stopped four of five shots to pick up the victory for the Crusaders.
