Grand Haven led 5-2 after four innings but could not scratch out another run for the remainder of the game. In the meantime, Hudsonville rode the comeback trail by continuing to put runners in scoring position and tacked on enough runs to send the game into extra innings. The Eagles’ game-winner came on a walk-off double in the eighth.

Hudsonville outhit the Bucs, 12-11.

The Buccaneers’ loss greatly reduces their chances for a conference title and at the moment, places them tied for second.

Grand Haven drops to 22-6 overall and all six of their losses were by one run.

Jordan Buckingham and Jackie Crow led the Bucs’ offense by each going 3-for-3 with a double. Crow also tallied three RBIs. Baby Hang collected two singles, while Anna McWatters contributed two singles and an RBI.
